Purposes: With the advancement of science and technology, air vehicle design and manufacturing are quite different from the past. Computer-aided analysis and design are widely applied to the field of aerospace engineering. The purposes of the lab are to
develop/use computer tools for air vehicle configuration design, dynamic analysis, attitude estimation and simulation, trajectory computation and simulation, development and integration of avionic systems for a more reliable and efficient air vehicle.
The following images are the solar-powered UAV and the image recognition system developed by the lab staffs.
Research focusses: development and integration of avionic systems, trajectory optimization and simulation, aircraft configuration design, visual navigation, quad rotors.
