Undergraduate Program Information Department of Aerospace Engineering gained respectable reputation from the Taiwanese aerospace industry. In order to prepare students for opportunities in the aerospace industry, junior year students are required to either intern at aerospace companies in Taiwan, or take practice learning courses on specific topics in the related institutions during summer break. The objective of the Department of Aerospace Engineering is to cultivate students to become capable of designing and manufacturing products and to provide services that meet the needs of the aerospace industry in Taiwan but also is in complete accord with the global aviation trends. Curriculum please go to Program Requirements 2018 Academic Year (Freshman) :Graduation Requirement: Total 128 credits 95 credits in program requirements (26 credits in General Education Courses); 17 credits in restricted electives, and 16 credits in unrestricted elections. 2017 Academic Year (Freshman) :Graduation Requirement: Total 138 credits 95 credits in program requirements (26 credits in General Education Courses); 28 credits in restricted electives, and 15 credits in unrestricted elections. 2016 Academic Year (Freshman) :Graduation Requirement: Total 143 credits 100 credits in program requirements (31 credits in General Education Courses); 28 credits in restricted electives, and 15 credits in unrestricted elections. • Credit Overload
  1. Bachelor level students who in the previous semester received an average academic grade of at least 80 (A) may in the subsequent semester take a maximum of six extra credits.
  2. Bachelor students who gain approval to undertake an academic minor, double major, or a credit program, may also take a maximum of six extra credits per semester.
  3. Graduating bachelor students may take up to six extra credits in the last two remaining semesters in order to graduate on time, with the following conditions:
     • 51-62 credits unfinished before eligibility to graduate with two semesters remaining.
     • 26-31 credits unfinished before eligibility to graduate with one semesters remaining.

• Senior "PRACTICE OF AEROSPACE AND ENGINEERING"
  
  Capstone course of the Aerospace Engineering Department, implementing the education philosophy of the IEET, emphasizing “teamwork, hands-on experience, and compilation of learning.” Each faculty member is assigned 10-15 Senior Aero Project students.
