Program Objectives

The objective of the Department of Aerospace Engineering is to prepare students at the bachelor's and master's levels to become competent in the design and manufacturing of flight vehicles that meet the needs of the aerospace industry development in Taiwan. Our goal is to provide our students with all the skills and knowledge they will need to further their studies or placement within the industry.

Undergraduate Learning Objectives

a) To apply scientific knowledge and engineering techniques in analyzing and solving fundamental aerospace engineering problems.
b) To design and implement experiments based on fundamental theories, and be able to analyze experimental data.
c) To possess the spirit of independent thinking, self-improvement, and continuous learning.
d) To uphold the correct attitude and responsibility towards work ethics and team work.
e) To have the ability to obtain desirable information, apply basic knowledge, diversify skills and knowledge, and adapt to the environment.

Undergraduate Core Abilities

a) To possess fundamental aerospace engineering knowledge.
b) Ability to solve basic engineering problems with fundamental theories.
c) Capacity for lifelong learning and research for further studies.
d) To work with a sense of commitment and responsibility.
e) Ability to communicate with others and to work in a team.
f) To maintain a global perspective and is capable of connecting to the world.
g) Ability to comprehend raw data and possess computer-assisted problem solving skills.


 

Master Level Learning Objectives

a) To lay a strong foundation in professional ethics and to cultivate the student’s ability in multidisciplinary expertise and continuous learning.
b) To sharpen the student’s problem solving and hands-on abilities, emphasizing both the student’s theoretical knowledge and practical implementation skills.
c) To foster the student’s with diligence and a sociable attitude at work and broaden their perspective of the world.
Master Level Core Ablities

a) To possess specific aerospace engineering knowledge and expertise.
b) Ability to solve engineering problems and gain new knowledge.
c) Ability to design and conduct experiments in order to analyze or solve an aerospace engineering related problem.
d) Be able to write professional research papers in the field of aerospace engineering.
e) Ability to think creatively, complete problem analysis, effective communication, team work, and industrial problem solving skills.
